Ecotrim is a program that supplies a set of mathematical and statistical techniques to carry out temporal disaggregation. Ecotrim is written in Visual Basic and C++. It offers a user friendly approach to temporal disaggregation. The user is asked to specify the techniques that he wants to run, besides the obvious information concerning the time series to be treated. Ecotrim offers the possibility to work in two different ways: it can be used in an interactive mode or in batch mode according to the accountant's requirements.
