Definition: Disability pension

Periodic payment intended to maintain or support the income of someone below the legal/standard retirement age as established in the reference scheme who suffers from a disability which impairs his or her ability to work or earn beyond a minimum level laid down by legislation.

This definition is identical in versions 1996, 2008 and 2011 of the Manual
