Definition: Nominal capacity

"Nominal capacity" means the sum of the incineration capacities of the furnaces of which an incineration plant is composed, as specified by the constructor and confirmed by the operator, with due account being taken, in particular, of the calorific value of the waste, expressed as the quantity of waste incinerated per hour. http://ec.europa.eu/eur-lex/pri/en/oj/dat/2000/l_332/l_33220001228en00910111.pdf
