Definition: Actual final consumption of NPISHs

Category: SNA

Actual final consumption of NPISHs is measured by the value of the collective consumption services provided to the community, or large sections of the community, by NPISHs (SNA 2008, § 9.118).

There is no actual final consumption of NPISHs because, in practice, most of their services are individual in nature and so, for simplicity, all services provided by NPISHs are treated by convention as individual (as social transfers in kind) (SNA 1993, § 9.44 [9.94, 9.95]). http://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/ramon/statmanuals/files/SNA2008.pdf United Nations, "System of National Accounts (SNA) 1993", United Nations, New York, 1993
