Types of cargo

Freight cargo can be classified in terms of both the design of the vessel itself and the handling equipment required at ports and on the vessel. The principal categories are
i)   Liquid bulk
ii)  Dry bulk
iii) Containers
iv)  Roll-on/Roll-off (self-propelled)
v)   Roll-on/Roll-off (non-self-propelled)
