This domain covers the collection and transport of waste water, the prevention, treatment or abatement of substances in waste water prior to discharge into surface or ground water, the protection of soil and ground water against pollution and the prevention of incidental water and soil pollution. The treatment of cooling water before draining to surface or ground water and other measures to restore or preserve the quality and quantity of water. The monitoring of surface water, ground water and soil quality is also included.
