Definition: Rail transit

Category: Transport

Railway transport through a country between two places (a place of loading/embarkation and a place of
unloading/disembarkation) outside that country.

Operations involving "Change of Gauge" between two different track gauges in a country are considered as transit and not as unloading and loading.
