Definition: Overtime earnings
Category: Labour market
The amount of overtime earnings for the reference period which was recorded referred to the total pay for overtime hours, not just the premium element. If remuneration for the reference period included payment for hours worked in another period, the relevant amount was deducted from the calculation for the reference period. Details of earnings for overtime actually carried out during the reference period were collected, even if such earnings were paid in a later period.
