This was the number of hours which this employee was expected to work in the pay period excluding main meal breaks, and excluding all overtime hours, even if some of these were worked regularly or contractually. This involved the number of hours (weekly/monthly) which the employee was obliged to work under the terms of a contract, regulation or rules in force in the local unit.
