Definition: Net production (slaughterings)

Animals slaughtered within the country, whether of indigenous or foreign origin. The quantities slaughtered are estimated in terms of carcass weight f the slaughtered and skinned animals, minus certain parts such as the head (except for pig's heads), the hide, some of the limbs, the viscera, the intestines, etc. Consequently, edible offal is not included, whereas fats forming part of the carcass weight are.
