Definition: Scenario analysis

Category: Statistical methodologies

A set of pseudo-criminological methods for analysing and classifying the plausible risk channels for a data intrusion. The methods are based around first delineating the means, motives and opportunity that an intruder may have for conducting the attack. The output of such an analysis is a specification of a set of keys likely to be held by data intruders. http://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/ramon/statmanuals/files/SDC_Handbook.pdf
