Definition: Controlled Tabular Adjustment (CTA)
Category: Statistical methodologies
Method to protect tabular data based on the selective adjustment of cell values. Sensitive cell values are replaced by either of their closest safe values and small adjustments are made to other cells to restore the table additivity. Controlled tabular adjustment has been developed as an alternative to cell suppression. http://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/ramon/statmanuals/files/SDC_Handbook.pdf
