Self-employed persons are persons who are the sole or joint owners of the unincorporated enterprises in which they work, excluding those unincorporated enterprises that are classified as quasi-corporations (SNA 2008, § 19.25).

Self-employed workers are persons who are the sole owners, or joint owner6s, of the unincorporated enterprises in which they work, excluding those unincorporated enterprises that are classified as quasi-corporations.
