Definition: Heads down data entry
Category: UN - Data editing terminology
Data entry with no error detection occurring at the time of entry. Data entered in a heads down mode is often verified by re-keying the questionnaire and comparing the two-keyed copies of the same questionnaire. Data entered in a "heads-down" fashion may later be corrected in either a "batch" or an "interactive" data review process. http://www1.unece.org/stat/platform/display/kbase/Glossary
